What is your 5 year guarantee?
We guarantee our bags for 5 years! Because we have faith that our bags are strong, thoughtfully constructed and durable, we believe they will last many years beyond that, but for 5 years if anything does go wrong from the construction of the bag we will fix it for free - you only pay any postage. If your bag breaks after this time we will still happily repair it for you at a small cost. As we love to give you the best chance of a bag for life you can get!
Do you do custom requests?
Yes - we love to make one-offs and custom requests here at Heron Bags. If you would like a different colour, more pockets or an alteration please let us know.
Are your bags always real leather?
Yes, we always use real leather hide for constructing our bags. We choose to stick with tradition in this case, as we know leather is the most versatile, long lasting and affordable material on the market that we feel confident to give you gorgeous dependable bags every time!
We use a wide range of colours and textures for our bags, such as full grain leather, nubuck and suede. We use leather print, pig skin or fabric lining depending on the style of the bag. This information will be found in each bags product description.
Are there colour variations?
We try our very best to provide you with colour accurate images but some variation may occur, from camera to display settings there can be a lot to contend with. So if you’d like to cross reference with the Pantone colour swatch or would like a sample sent to you please let us know and we can help you make the arrangements.
How do I care for my bag?
Full grain leather:
We advise you feed your bag with a leather conditioner, we use Neats Foot Oil applied sparingly on a shoe brush here at Heron Bags but there are many lovely natural products out there, we’d recommend you test whatever product your using on a discrete part of the bag first as it can darken the leather considerably initially, this will lighten in time again.
Keep your bag out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
If your bag becomes wet, please dry away from direct heat sources such as the sun, radiators or fires. This will dry the leather too fast and may effect the longevity of your bag.
Suede
We do NOT recommend using any oils or lather balms on your suede bag it will most likely damage the lovely surface of the suede.
If you chose to use a suede protector, please test on a discrete area first.
